Last year wasn't a good for puppies at our house. We had more rescue puppies here than we produced ourselves.
Our Spring breeding (Flossy to Spike) failed to produce any puppies so we made arrangements to attempt three litters. Boo-Boo came into season first in August so we bred her to Norm in a repeat breeding. Second we attempted to breed Spice to Henry but the sperm we received wasn't very good. We planned to attempt breeding Flossy to Spike again, but she turned five in the middle of all of this and we were certain that Boo-Boo was pregnant. We don't breed bitches after they turn five so she was permanently retired. Needless to say, none of the oregnancies materialized.
This Spring we will plsn three breedings again in hopes that at least one will be successful.
Gwyneth should come in near the end of April followed by Boo-Boo and finally Spice. We will be breeding Gwyneth to her half sibbling Paxton for a tight double-up on Liam. Boo-Boo will go to Norm again as the first litter was beautiful, healthy, and as sweet as they could be. Spice will go to her half sibbling Henry for a looser double-up on Storm.
Spice and Gwyneth will be at the International Kennel Club shows at McCormick Place on Feb 25 and 26.
